I'll be the first to admit I am not a fan of Halloween decor. But, I love fall decor and had a great time decorating for the season!
I like to do everything on a budget, because that's just how I am haha. My husband and I took a trip over to Target and I got everything from the dollar(s) spot there! This entire shopping trip was under $20- which is hard to accomplish in that store, amiright?
Here is everything I purchased. I fell in love with this wooden box and thought it'd be fun to decorate it. So I put that in my basket and was inspired to decorate it and make it the center focus. Everything was $3 each! Grand total: $18!
I started with mapping out how I wanted to decorate the box. 'Thankful' happened to fit on it perfectly! I then decorated the sides with the leaves and pumpkins. I love these stickers because they are wooden and added an extra dimension to the space.
So I will be the first to admit I hate the smell of spices (ginger, cinammon, etc.). BUT, I love the smell of Holiday Spices! It reminds me so much of Christmas, which I am so ready for already, and it looks adorable surrounded by these cool fairy lights. I like that the light string is copper as it goes along with the theme and vibe of the entry way!
I put down one of the cloth napkins because I loved how simple, yet pretty they were! They aren't holiday specified, so I like that I could use it year round if I wanted to. Last but not least, I hung this Friendsgiving banner and it just so happened to have all the colors I used in it, it was fate y'all!
And that is how you decorate your entry way for fall, under $20! I don't like a ton of clutter, so this space is very fitting to my style, but adding pumpkins and other decorations would be very cute if you would like! I like entry tables just for keeping things like my keys, sunglasses, and anything I want to grab when I'm on the go; so the simpler the better!
My honey is home and I never got around to sharing our homecoming photos! During J's deployment homecoming, it was literally just us and I drove to go see him. I wore a tank top and shorts and it was extremely casual and intimate.
This time around, I wanted to make it more special! I found an adorable outfit and my mom made me a super cute sign to welcome him with. He deserves so much and I am glad we finally got a bigger homecoming for him! I am so blessed to have him back, I know military spouses understand this heartbreak like no other when our men are away. To see him again, just felt like a breath of relief and my everything was finally standing in front of me again- and that feeling is indescribable.
Going through any length of separation can be hard on any couple. Whether you are going through separation because of Basic training, AIT, TDY, or deployment, I understand what you are going through! It is so hard being apart, but know it isn't impossible. Try and make time fly the best you can (I'll link helpful posts down below!) and remember why you are doing this.
You are going through this distance because your other half is creating your future together and establishing his career. You are spending nights alone so he can defend our country and learn how to protect and grow in his designated career path. You are experiencing those dropped skype calls and weeks without hearing from them, which makes you appreciate the sweet sound of their voice so much more. If you are younger and still living at home, of course miss him, but use this time to love and appreciate time with your family, as you will most likely be moving away from them shortly and starting your own life. Trust me, there are many obstacles when distance comes into play, but stay strong and be supportive during the duration. Best of luck to you and your military significant other. The longer the wait, the sweeter the kiss.
Colorado is finally feeling like fall, and I could not be happier! I am so glad to be back home and due to the amazing weather, I just can't stop being outdoors. My husband and I love going on walks together, so we took this beautiful day to go explore the parks that are nearby (Colorado has no shortage of parks, let me tell you!)
This dress has quickly become a favorite of mine, and may just be my new fall staple. I love how stretchy and flowy it is, and while it is a bit more loose, it is perfect for layering!
I've had this mustard yellow cardigan from Target for years now, and it can never go wrong in my eyes. I love the length as it goes pretty far down, and that the sleeves are a bit more fitted.
This scarf has already had its fair share of being in my wardrobe as I've worn it probably about 10 times now haha. I love red for fall so I really enjoy finding new looks to wear it with!

As most of you might know, my husband James just returned from overseas. I am usually on top of things, but I was so stumped when having to pick out the perfect outfit for his welcome home! I didn't want to buy something too pricey, but I did want to find quality pieces that would look great for him and feel great on my wallet.
I immediately had a light bulb moment when realizing that hello, ThredUP has proven to be a saving grace! I quickly went over to the sight and found the perfect ensemble in seconds, and y'all I saved over $90 on my purchase! That's the great thing about ThredUP, you get designer and high quality pieces for less, which is why I am a firm believer in shopping secondhand first. I love finding pieces that are more unique and my entire outfit was under $50 which is a major plus.
I knew I wanted to do some sort of romper because I didn't want any flashing mishaps happen. I narrowed it down by size and color and immediately fell in love with this lace romper from AX Paris.
cost: $10, originally $36
Since it was a military homecoming, I wanted it to still look patriotic without going overboard (if you know me, I tend to be a little too much! haha) I wanted to look classy, while still showing my pride in my husband, so I found the perfect deep red heels from Arturo Chiang.
ThredUP has a huge range of clothes and I love that there is a ton of variety when choosing items, especially in high quality brands. ThredUP carries brands like Free People, J. Crew, Tory Burch, Ann Taylor, & many more.
cost: $14, originally $74
I decided at the last second to wear flats, but that evening we went out and I wore the heels and y'all, they were so comfy to walk around in and looked great!
The last finishing touch I kinda had a freak out moment over. I have a weakness for anything vintage looking and I couldn't click 'add to cart' fast enough when I scrolled to this La Regale crossbody bag!
cost: $13, originally $37
I ended up paying a total of $48 and I saved OVER $98!!!! That is unreal. That is a saving of 67%, which makes me super thrilled because I didn't want to spend a ton on my homecoming outfit.
If you are wanting to check out ThredUp, wait one second! While the clothes are already savings friendly, you can save even more with these codes:

I feel so blessed to have my husband back home, and it is such a plus to have saved so much on my outfit! I wanted to be able to finally dress nice for his homecoming because during his last deployment I went super casual. I wanted this time to be perfect, and thanks to ThredUP I was able to find a flawless outfit that was a mix of classy, vintage, and affordable all in one, which isn't an easy thing to accomplish!
If you've ever used ThredUP, what was your favorite find? And if you haven't tried ThredUP you definitely should! It has quickly become one of my favorite online websites & I just want to let everyone I know know about it because of how much you can save!
My current full time job is being a wife. Granted, with James away I have less duties (and a whole lot less laundry!) but I have felt myself thriving in this position. I have already wrote about why I chose to be a stay at home wife, but I would like to explain further what exactly I do throughout my normal days, aka when James is home.
When I stopped working and going to school, I would be fibbing if I didn't say I would sleep in and not do any of these things. Transitioning into this lifestyle was hard on me, but after reevaluating myself I realized I wasn't getting any fulfillment out of my days & not accomplishing anything.
So, I stepped up my game.
You've heard the saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? Well, mornings are the same for a stay at home wife like myself. If I sleep in and don't do anything in my mornings, the whole day drags on and feels like a waste.
Since mornings are so important, and I have a knack for routines, I decided to put together a quick routine that gets me the most fulfillment out of my mornings.
