“Your hair is poop brown”… A brunette’s worst nightmare to hear! Trust me, I love having brown hair, but I feel like I am always on the edge of having super dull hair. While highlights and different hair coloring techniques can brighten or deepen up your hair let’s be real. Who has the time and money for that? I am all about pinching pennies, and after my last hair dye job (yes, I jumped on the ombre bandwagon) I never wanted to sit in a salon chair again. I want lighter revived brunette hair though, so here’s my dilemma.
So how do I plan on avoiding the hair salon chair? Well I went to Walmart, aka one of my favorite stores because they have everything, and found the new Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ Subtle Lightening Shampoo and Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ Subtle Lightening Conditioner. The hair gods have finally answered our prayers! I personally want to lighten up my hair, but they also have a Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Deeper™ Colour Deepening Shampoo and Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Deeper™ Colour Deepening Conditioner for y’all who want a deeper brown. I thought it would be so fun to document this now and come back in a few weeks with my results, putting it to the test. So, while these pictures make me look super pale, they are unedited so you will get the full effect of the before and afters. In my follow up post, I'll have one of these pictures featured so you can see a side by side comparison.
I feel like the Visibly Brighter™ Shampoo and Visibly Brighter™ Conditioner are so revolutionary and with the presence of honey and marigold flower extract it will only gradually intensify golden tones throughout your hair, rather than taking a bleached approach and look orange which isn't cute. This could save you a lot of money if this ends up replacing your routine coloring! I know that blondes have to constantly keep up with their hair to keep the desired color, but who is to say that brunettes shouldn’t do the same? Yes, there can be a sun-kissed brunette and I hope to achieve that! Another perk of this product is that it’s okay to use on virgin or on color treated hair and it’s safe for your highlights because it is ammonia and peroxide free, holla! Now you have no excuse not to get this product! This makes me feel a lot better because even though I cut off most of my hair after the ombre trauma, I still have some bleached ends. Also, if you use it for every wash you will notice boosts of brightness in your hair which I am super excited about.
Y’all, I seriously have been neglecting my hair for so long and I am extremely excited to use this product and do an update on the progress in two weeks. Oh, another thing to quickly mention is there is another new product in this line that is called the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ In-Shower Treatment. After you wash and condition your hair, you can use this for an extra boost of lightness, because it lightens up to one shade instantly. You may need some sunglasses for all this brightness about to go on! ;) Just like the other two products, it only lightens up in your hairs natural color spectrum so you won't have any weird orange tint. Plus, this is safe for any highlights or color you may have in your hair already! You can buy the Visibly Brighter™ Shampoo and Visibly Brighter™ Conditioner at Walmart, and the Visibly Brighter™ Treatment is available at most Walmart stores, so if yours doesn't have it you can click the text below to be redirected to buy it online! I have mine on the way and I can't wait to use it! (Also, you can click to watch the YouTube demo of the Visibly Brighter™ Treatment to see it in action)
Go get yourself the Visibly Brighter™ Shampoo and Visibly Brighter™ Conditioner from the shampoo aisle of Walmart! This is such a new product that I suggest you go fast before it sells out!!!
For you brunettes, if you were to try this product would you lighten up your hair, or darken it? I'd love to know.
