So, if you are a family or friend you know this is a long time coming for us. We've been waiting for months, got really close once, but now the search is over. We bought a house!
We got our offer accepted on a home we have never even seen... We are only slightly crazy I know! Since J went to Germany, we got out of our apartment lease. So, essentially we are homeless when he gets back home (thankfully we have a great friend who is letting us stay with her!) We have had terrible luck finding the perfect home, and have had so many offers denied or outbid.
Our wishlist for a house was a split level, two car garage, and to be unique. But, then we found this home. Going through the photos, having our amazing realtor go through it filming a walk through, and we just completely fell in love with it. The home is in a perfect location, right in the middle of everything we want to be by, looks so cozy and inviting, and is perfect for raising a family in. There are schools nearby, it is close to our favorite shopping center (hello, priorities!), and also close to his work.
This week they will be doing the inspection and from there we will slowly be going through the check list of what will need to be done before closing. It is so exciting to finally have a place we will call home, even though we haven't seen it yet, and it will be our first home together!
We won't be moving in until late fall/early winter but I could not be more ready! I have been pinning home ideas like crazy & I feel kind of overwhelmed having to go from a two bedroom apartment, to a three bedroom, two bath house! What I am very excited about is finally having a yard for Pepper, and on the side of a home is a huge deck which will be great for friends.
I am really excited for when we move in and I will blog the whole process, decorating the rooms, buying furniture (oh my gosh we are going to be such adults! haha), and will blog the overall moving process.
I hope you guys are ready for all this house talk & if you are searching for a home right now, my advice is to not give up and not get attached to anything, unless your offer is accepted. Purchasing a home is such a rollercoaster, so just take your time because your perfect home is out there.
