"lean on me"... when you're not strong. Every time I hear this song I break out in the rest of the lyrics! this past weekend we had a family BBQ/ surprise birthday party and what better people to surround yourself than your family? Family is always there for you to lean on, in the good times and the bad. We are celebrating the good and that is spending quality time with one another! Coca-Cola™ has inspired me by their new Share a Coke and a Song program. Their new packaging is so fun and during this party, I was very much inspired to do desserts everyone would enjoy!
I'm so blessed to have married into such a wonderful family that I know I can lean on, and I love the message that Coca-Cola is sharing to the world and they are even giving away an amazing prize to a lucky someone!

Red, White, and Blue Strawberries
This treat ties in perfectly with the summertime, and was a huge hit with our family! You need strawberries, white chocolate melts, and blue sprinkles or crushed up candy.
I first put the chocolates into a warmer to melt. While I'm doing that, I wash the strawberries and pat them down with a paper towel until they are completely dry. I then take the strawberry, dip it in the chocolate and dip it in the blue candy. I place them on a piece of parchment paper for easy removal and no mess. You can set them in the fridge for about 30 minutes to however long you need, just make sure the chocolate has hardened completely.
I left the stems on while I was making them to grab them easily, but decided to cut off the tops afterwards so the kids could eat them without anything leftover. My mother in law has the cutest dishes and dessert cups so I arranged the strawberries on a cake platter.
I'm sure I'm not the only one, but while I'm in the kitchen, I have to have music playing. I just love working to music and the Shazam app comes in handy when I'm scrambling to find out what song is playing, and they have all of the Coca-Cola Share a Song's on there.
After shopping at Safeway for the party, we found the cutest display for the new Coca-Cola campaign "Share a Coke and a Song". I immediately knew we had to have these at the party, and what screams summer and family like Coca-Cola floats!
This is probably the easier dessert, so if you are wanting something simple but oh so delicious, this tutorial is the one for you. Beforehand, I chilled the glasses in the freezer for about an hour. This is completely optional, but since it was so hot outside I didn't want it to melt too quickly. Just scoop in your favorite vanilla ice cream, and pour in Coca-Cola and you have a delicious float!
And that is it for the delicious treats you can enjoy this summer! These would be so cute for any BBQ or Fourth of July party. Thank you so much for reading & I hope you have a great weekend! Coca-Cola's Sweepstakes is so exciting, and you should enter because the entry is so easy! I'll leave the link below so you can still get your entry in. ♥
