Not too much to say for an introduction so I'll keep it simple. I love lipsticks and I have been wearing my MAC ones nonstop! They all just go on so smooth and I have some pretty fun colors. I have a pretty small collection, but it is growing. I realized after first posting that I didn't really give any details on the lipsticks, so I'm revising it now!
"Fanfare" // Cremesheen
Fanfare is the closest thing I could bring myself to a "nude" (I'm using nude very lightly because it is so not!) I love the pink in this because it is very subtle. Also, it goes on super smooth, but what MAC lipstick doesn't? (I'll get to that...)
Funny story about this, so I'm such a red/dark lipstick kind of girl and my husband hates it. Really, because whatever I'm wearing always comes off on his lips haha. So we went to the MAC store in the Dallas Texas mall and he picked this color out all on his own. I was definitely a bit leery, but it has become one of my everyday lipsticks!
Viva Glam Miley (no longer sold, similar here) // Amplified Creme
When I saw this color advertised I HAD to have it. I love Miley (minus the teddy bear costumes and glitter but to each their own!) and just love this color. This color pay off is amazing, as you can see in the swatch at the bottom of the post, and is a very true hot pink. I don't think it goes best with my skin tone, but with a color this beautiful who cares!
"Neon Orange" // Amplified Creme
This is my 'fun' lipstick. I don't know what normal person would buy this, but I definitely feel like everyone should. Neon orange is such a fun lip choice and I cannot wait to wear it this summer. I think it would look great with a simple makeup look and then the bright orange would just pop even more. The color pay off is great and I don't think it is too overpowering, but it surely makes a statement. Also, the application is great, but with a color like this I would suggest you line your lips first, then apply.
"Russian Red" // Matte
Y'all... Y'ALL. This is my FAVORITE lipstick in the entire world. Another amazing pick from my husband and I cannot say enough good things about this color! First off, it goes on so nice and I only need one coat. I would advise a lip liner first though, because it kind of feathers the edge of your lips. This is the absolute perfect shade of red and is perfect if you have an olive skin tone like me, but I honestly think it would look amazing on any skin color. Having olive skin makes rocking reds somewhat difficult, so if you are struggling, look no further.
"Rebel" // Satin
This one holds a special place in my heart, because it was the start of my collection. I got this a few years back, when I saw so many people wearing this color and I was falling head over heels for it... I had never wanted a lipstick so badly! haha It looks super dark in the tube, but when applying it comes off more as a purple. I like this though because it makes it a build-able color. The more you apply the deeper the purple gets. The application is kind of like the Russian Red, where you have to be cautious around the edges of your lips, but with a steady hand and using the pointed part of the lipstick you could get away with it. A downfall about Rebel is you have to reapply it after a few hours and it will more than likely come off on your straw and even your food...
"Whirl" // Lip Pencil
Yep... I hopped on the Kylie Jenner bandwagon. #noregrets! This is my first lip liner and I am so happy I chose this color. (Also, it was SO hard to get my hands on it because it was sold out... My husband is my lipstick hero once again haha) I don't wear any lipsticks without putting this underneath. It's like a 'better than your lip color' color. I use it to shape my lips better and makes applying any lipstick so much easier.
